Our School Story
In 2024/25 we are looking forward to starting our new school goal, supporting growth in literacy through the use of Pillars of Literacy.
This school year we wrapped up our school goal of Building community through mathematics. We saw growth through support from our weekly MacNeill homework club and opportunities for enrichment with our weekly Gauss math club. It was great to see our collected empirical data support our growth in math.
This school year we also identified emerging needs in literacy with feedback from staff and students sharing the need to broaden our understanding of literacy strategies.
Feedback from staff and students going forward include excitement around literacy learning opportunities. Some ideas include:
-School wide learning opportunities with the student and parent community.
-Further exploration of hands-on literacy tasks.
-Opportunities for staff to work collaboratively through professional development and inquiry grants.
