With our school focus on building community through mathematics, we celebrated and culminated this year's learning in collaboration with Annette Rousseau, from the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival.  With Annette's guidance, Grade 6&7 student leaders learned, shared, and taught hands on numeracy tasks.

The goal of each numeracy task was to engage hands on learning, stretch mathematical thinking, and most importantly have fun learning math.  In total, over 650 students and adults participated in this year's Math Day celebration.  Students, teachers, and district staff all marvelled at the creative solutions shared!
