We Learned:

-Students could articulate topics they were learning, but not the big ideas or why what they were learning might be important.

Our Learning and Actions for 2017/2018:

-Since asking the initial questions in the fall of 2017, as a staff we have been focusing on the Big Ideas and the Thinking Competencies in the curriculum.

-By practicing developing reflection skills around the thinking competency with students while in the loose parts lab

-By having opportunities to debrief together

-By practicing in classrooms with students using the competency frame questions to build students’ reflection skills around the thinking competency;
